Am i being abused or just over reacting?

My mum and step-dad alway shout at me and swear and me and call me names. It makes me feel so awful inside. Like the other day my mum asked where her black jacket was and I asked which black one so she pushed me up against the wall and snarled at me to stop asking stupid questions. My mum and step-dad have hit me before,and when I was younger my step dad dragged me by my hair across a bed and also sent me flying through a hall. I have a scar on my hand (miniscule) from when my step-dad whacked me with a eating knife. I got such a shock I hyperventilated and got sent to the bathroom. Another time my mum just laughed at me hyperventilating. Is this normal and am I just over-exaggerating?
